WHO ARE WE?
Connect is an independent business networking group for women in the West Midlands. We have members from a wide range of businesses, in and around the local area of Tamworth, Lichfield, Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, stretching as far as Stoke. We welcome all women who are enthusiastic and committed to developing their business and professional relationships.
We welcome one representative from each industry/profession to become a member of Connect.
WHERE DO WE MEET?
We meet on the first Friday of each month (unless that falls on a public holiday), 9.45am for a 10.00am start until around 12.00, followed by a buffet lunch at The Fig and Olive, Coppice Lane, Middleton, Tamworth Staffordshire B78 2BU.
Our mission is to help members and visitors enhance and grow their business through hosting friendly, relaxed professional meetings. We aim to offer support and advice as well as the opportunity to refer business to one another. Every meeting includes a business support section – as mainly self-employed businesses, it is a great forum in which to raise, share and solve common business experiences. All self-employed business owners and professionals experience challenges from time to time and this has proved to be a great forum to share and solve them.
Our meetings are always lively, informative, supportive and professional, with business being passed and ideas being shared. They follow a different format from month to month; however, always include the opportunity for members and visitors share their 60 second presentations. This is to ensure that we can find out more about each person’s business, the contacts they are looking to make and businesses they want to connect with.
Members are also given the opportunity to have a 10 minute slot on a rota basis, and visiting speakers/trainers are booked every quarter to look at aspects of personal and professional development, so attendees always go away inspired and having learned a new approach to business.
